rain rain go away
B told me last night that according to the BBC we had the most 'dreary August since records began' and September doesn't look much better.  We/I manage to get out for walks in between the deluges but it would be really really nice to be able to dry just one load of laundry.

Trying a new conditioning class tonight at the gym, fingers crossed that my temporary weight loss moratorium shifts this week.  I'm up to 2 hours of exercise/day, I don't think I can do much more - my legs are constantly sore - but hey at least they're there ;)

Very excited that I got a new 1GB MP3 player just for working out (with loads of funk that B will never have to hear), and some new gadgets for my bike

Off to try to make some low-carb snacky things, I made loads of garbanzo/chickpea 'nuts' last night thanks to my sis sending me a recipe but they're so yummy I'll probably OD on them.

Obligatory grumble of the day - FBG this morning was 6.4 grrrrrrr

Current Mood: funky
Current Music: Stevie Wonder - Superstition

Hey, sounds like you're doing ok! How's the moving situation? My mum moves a week today: still have a garage full of crap that I can't bear to skip, and I've just found out that the charity that I was going to give her fridge, freezer and washing machine to has no van for the next two weeks... [silent scream] Haven't had a full night's sleep for weeks now!

Chickpea nuts sound fab - in fact chickpea anything sounds fab!

Maybe we can get together when All This Is Over??

oh wow, sounds like you have your hands seriously full! Good luck with your mum's move - I know what its like having to part with stuff that you don't have any room for ;)

Chickpea 'nuts' are pretty more-ish so be warned but they're also pretty easy. Drain 400g can chickpeas, toss with 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon each: cayenne pepper, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Bake at 325F for 45-55 minutes or until brown and crisped, stirring occasionally. I, of course, went OTT and played around with other flavours - did curry, smoked paprika & italian ones - seriously yum

Definitely need to get together when All This is Over :). I sold the business on Monday and we have weekends again - WooT!

Good luck again and definitely give us a shout when It's All Over
